Baby age and development

Calculate chronological age and, for premature babies, corrected age — with the milestones that usually show up around this stage, without treating any of them as a rigid deadline.

A reference, not a diagnosis

Every baby has their own pace. A milestone that hasn't appeared yet doesn't mean a delay — talk to your pediatrician if something worries you.

Chronological age: full days and months since birth. Corrected age (for babies born before 37 weeks): subtracts from the chronological age the weeks that were missing for the gestational age to reach 40 weeks, according to the Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria (Brazilian Society of Pediatrics) — most experts use this correction during the first 2 years of life, with no definitive consensus on exactly how long.
